BCA in Web Development at ITM Vocational University - Course, Fees, Admission, Seats, Syllabus

As of my update in April 2023 I don't currently have access to the latest syllabus for the BCA program in Web Development at ITM Vocational University. However I can provide you with an overview of the typical topics and subjects covered in a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program with a focus on Web Development. In the year of your studies you will cover the fundamentals of computer hardware, software and IT. This includes learning about mathematics for computing, which involves mathematics, algebra and calculus that are relevant to computing. You will also get an introduction to HTML and CSS along with web design principles. Additionally you'll learn about logic and its basics in terms of digital circuits and logic design. Moving on to the year there will be a deeper focus on advanced web development. This will involve studying client side scripting using JavaScript and jQuery well as server side scripting with languages like PHP or ASP.NET. You'll also delve into database management systems where you'll learn about databases themselves SQL query language and how to design a database effectively. Furthermore you'll explore data structures and algorithms to understand how data can be stored efficiently while being able to process it. The basics of operating systems functions such as their types and management will also be covered in this years curriculum. Lastly. Not least importantly is object oriented programming where you'll dive into advanced programming concepts using languages like Java or C++. In the year of your studies in this field you will focus on more specialized topics such as web frameworks like Django or Flask for Python or Ruby on Rails frameworks for web development purposes. Additionally understanding e commerce technology including the underlying technology behind e commerce systems and websites will be covered extensively during this period. Lastly. Not least importantly is mobile web development where students gain knowledge, about developing websites specifically tailored for mobile devices. I specialize in the design and development of websites specifically optimized for devices. My expertise includes learning about and implementing services, SOAP and creating web applications. As part of my year project I typically work on developing a comprehensive web application or conducting research in the field of web technologies. In addition to these core areas I also have the option to choose from a range of electives depending on the institution. Some of these courses include Cyber Security Fundamentals, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT) User Experience (UX) Design as well, as Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Web Analytics.
